Meredith Salenger
Salenger was raised and born within Malibu, California. As a child she enjoyed acting in front of close family and friends. When she was just eight years old the mother of her child took her to her very first acting class. Salenger played a small role as "a singer and dancer orphan" in John Huston's feature film Annie. Salenger played a variety of TV ads. Salenger was cast as the lead in The Journey of Natty Gann by Disney and featured John Cusack alongside Ray Wise. The film received the Moscow Film Festival's golden medal as the first movie made in America. In addition, she was awarded "Best actor in drama" at the Youth in Film Awards, in recognition of her role as the fun-loving Natty. In the following four movies by the time she was eighteen years old such as A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon She left Hollywood to go to Harvard to pursue her studies.
